About DeeDee
Studied and worked in Fashion in both the USA and Italy. Can teach by Zoom for small group or individual classes. Experienced in teaching beginners of any age. Available for after-school or day classes 7 days a week. 2-hour minimum. In 2005, I started teaching sewing to students and women at my Atelier in NYC. A trained Fashion Designer who has worked with fashion collaborations in NYC, LA, Rome, and Milan, I wished to share my love of sewing with others. Having designed collections both in the USA and Italy over the past 20 years, I have grown to know and experience the inside world of high fashion. My work has been featured in People, WWD, Glamour, and Entrepreneur magazines and have had the honor to dress celebrities including my fellow American Italian, Giada De Laurentiis. My classes are designed to learn the basic sewing techniques. I can design a project for students, for example, sewing a simple shift dress, or you can design your own project. I start with the sewing machine basics to ensure all students are trained on the basics before proceeding with all projects. I enjoy teaching both youths and adults and am available for small after-school group or individual lessons.

Excellent! Deedee cut short of her commitment and quit after the first class citing about a new job opportunity... her first class was very good. Regrets.

Perfect! Dee dee is an amazing teacher and tutor! She helped me with my portfolio to get into fashion school and made me so much more comfortable with draping and sewing.
