About Priya
My desire to teach came from homeschooling my brother (Year 7) during lockdown. Together, we created a plan and made sure each lesson was given an equal amount of thought and focus. Being a Film graduate from Royal Holloway, my course allowed me to explore and contextualise the medium of film and breakdown key aspects. The skills I developed from my course allowed me to enhance my creative writing and analytical skills within English literature.

The most important part of teaching is to develop a core structure. I will approach each lesson with a quick recap of what the student has studied, and how they can apply it to the current lesson. Every student is different and my teaching style is very flexible. As a visual learner, it is important to keep the student engaged at all times through creating mind maps, diagrams and presentations. My goal for the student is for them to enjoy their lesson and comprehend the teachings given to them.
