I like to highlight the interest of the student first and then draw from their initial interest. That could include introducing an ideal or subject either directly related to their interest or completely removing them from their comfort zone. I believe the biggest obstacle for students when it comes to film history is to relate to the subject matter of the time. Hopefully I can help make Cinema History more enjoyable.
