I am currently in my third year (level 6) of chemistry degree, having also achieved 3 a levels and a foundation year in extended science.
I plan to study after completing chemistry , to become a teacher for GCSE and a level students.
I have three children myself so I am used to teaching different ages in different ways in order to suit them to grow and learn in a way which suits them.
I am able to teach GCSE sciences and maths, along with A level sciences. I am more suited to chemistry and physics a level but also have a lot of experience in Biology due to doing a year in extended science (I achieved an A in Biology).
If local to Basildon I am able to tutor at the pupils home. I can also tutor in a library if this is something that may suit you more or alternatively at my home (after 7.30pm when my children aren't interruptive).
I would require that you make me aware of the lesson you're wanting help on that week ie subject , in advance, to best help me cater to your needs by being prepared- and to bring all relevant material with you.
This is my first year where I have been free outside of education myself so I feel I could benefit others by teaching them my knowledge to help them to learn and grow in order to pass their own exams. I feel it would be selfish to not help others if I'm able to, especially if someone requires it.
As previously mentioned I have my own children and I feel I am understanding in a sense that I can help to adapt to the pupils need in order to find a way to teach them in a way they find most appropriate.
During the time on my degree I have gained skills in : Organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Bioanalytixal science. These modules also had practical work and assessments based in the lab where I had to adhere to health and safety standards and follow lab procedures appropriately, constantly calculating yields and writing up lab reports. my lab reports typically scored equivalents of an A grade, at level 4 and above.
£25 p/h for GCSE students in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology
£35 p/h for A level in Chemistry- if required can also help in Biology and Calculus material in Physics
I have 12 GCSE's (A-C's) , 3 A Levels (Chemistry , Psychology, Sociology), A foundation year in extended science (passed) and level 4 and 4 in chemistry (passed, continuing level 6 Sept 2018).
