About Catherine
Hi! My name is Catherine and I'm a Law & French student at Trinity College Dublin. I've just entered the final year of my studies, and I am passionate about language learning.
I have completed my Erasmus at Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) for the year as part of my degree. All lectures and tutorials are conducted in French, and I achieved my C1 standard in the French language alongside my compulsory law modules.
I have been speaking French for over 8 years and received a H1 (93%) in my Leaving Cert French exam in 2019.
I have been teaching Junior and Leaving Cert French for over two years now, and have a great deal of experience with all abilities!

I take an individualised approach to all of my classes. Often, I try to tailor my lessons to suit each student to focus on what they might be struggling with. I also try to keep each student's goals in mind, whether that means achieving top marks in Leaving Cert exams or being able to make basic conversation.
I assign regular homework to sustain engagement with students and consolidate what we have learned in class. However, I am also aware of the busy schedule and other homework obligations that students may have!
Each lesson is one hour long and follows a general theme. Each lesson is pre-planned so that students can prepare accordingly before each class. All notes are forwarded via email after each lesson.
I have been teaching students for over two years, and have worked with students of all levels!
