My experience in teaching will help me plan and deliver sessions in a structured way, which has been proven useful the last few years I have been helping students. I usually like to know in advance what topic you would like to cover in the session and then explain it through with you verbally and maybe using diagrams if we have access to them. Then the student prefers to explain back to me what they can remember and understand. From which we then proceed to filling in the gaps by going through aspects of the teaching again but focusing on the more difficult areas. Usually some questions may be given at the end to consolidate that knowledge. Questions are always welcome and the more questions the better to gain the best understanding. I am quite versatile and can also adapt to the student and various lesson structures if needed.
My name is Gurpreet and I am currently a medical student at University of Birmingham, this has been my dream since I was very young and my GCSE's/A-Levels paid a big part in achieving my place in the medical school. I have had my fair share of exam experiences from school to university so I feel I could offer great advice and tips to those getting ready for exam season, especially with my experience as a part-time tutor in various tutoring firms since I was in sixth form. Not only will my interest for science and maths help you achieve those grades in exams but I would be happy to provide help on applications to university from choosing universities to personal statement preparations.
