About CONNIE
I am currently in my last year at University, studying History and Contemporary Chinese Studies. I have spent 4 years officially studying History, having also done History for my A-level. Furthermore, I have also studied English literature at A-level. Therefore, I have a good understanding of the exam boards and the requirements for achieving good grades in these subjects. As part of my degree, I have also been studying Chinese, completing a year abroad studying at the University of Nottingham Ningbo.

I have previously had experience teaching English at a GCSE level as well as currently doing a placement at a school teaching Chinese. Through these experiences, I have developed my teaching style. I believe one of the most important things in a classroom is creating a safe, comfortable environment that motivates students. I like to keep a flexible teaching style, catering to what the student needs most. My lessons will range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the students' needs. My lessons are typically aimed at Year 9s - Year 11s for History and English. However, for Mandarin, it will be from ages 10 and above.
