About Rowan
I'm a freelance musician. I write my own stuff a lot but I play all the time, and I love sharing what I've learnt with others. All of us have an inner voice that just needs a little push to come out, and I'd love to give you a nudge!! First lesson is free so why not give it a go, haha. If you'd like to hear me play first, I've got a video from an open mic I go to below, playing some fiddle music I've picked up somewhere along the way.

Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced classical player who's interested in trying out some folk or jazz, I can help you build your violin playing to a point where you are happy with how it sounds. I can also teach piano and guitar. It's a long journey, music is, but the most important part is to let your ear guide you. Finding music you enjoy and learning to play it is one of the most important skills for a musician to have, as well as being able to read music and improvise. I will help you develop your ear to a point where you can pick up the instrument and play a tune you've heard, or even just bust out a cool lick to impress your friends.

I’m known Rowan for most of my life and he’s an absolute legend. He’s a really fun guy to be with, full of enthusiasm and always has something interesting to say. I think he’s a very trustworthy tutor because he’s got so much passion and always wants to share it with others.

I have known Rowan personally for many years and ever since I've known him I've thought a great deal of him; he is a very friendly and approachable guy and has been more than willing to take things right back to basics and explain various aspects of mathematics to me in plain English, helping me to understand problems I've been stuck on for some time several times in the past. He is a great listener and communicator and one of the most knowledgeable people on natural mathematics that I know of.
