About Melissa
I am a passionate and creative educator, who works exceptionally hard to create positive learning experiences for the students I work with. As my career has progressed, I have developed a strong interest in the role and potentiality of art education and creativity in the public realm and education sector, and in the notion of using art as a platform to create meaningful and positive social change and opportunities for communities and individuals. I have attained tertiary degrees in both Fine Arts and Secondary Education (Visual Arts and Education Support), allowing me to develop experience in designing and facilitating art making workshops and programs in a variety of diverse educational contexts. I am passionate about forging connections between the art world diverse demographics and communities, and I have a strong interest in developing diversity and inclusivity in the arts, and holistic approaches to art education and initiatives. I am a flexible and innovative educator, who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people with complex and challenging needs.
