The way I teach largely depends on the subject I am teaching and the student(s) I am teaching. I am flexible with my methods of teaching, personalising the method to the student. I look to make learning fun, approachable and confidence boosting. I primarily teach Primary school level lessons, in subjects including English, Maths, Science, Religion, Art, Music, History and French.
Although my focus is on art, I am keen to teach a variety of subjects. My qualifications include a Distinction in Art and Design Foundation, A Level in History, Philosophy and Ethics, 1 A* and 9 A's at GCSE, grade 5 in piano, grade 5 in cello and Grade 5 in music theory. I have experience volunteering in a Rainbows Girl Guiding group, where I led group activities. I have worked in Waitrose and on a farm/farm shop. My main interest in the past few years has turned towards art, with a love of creativity and expression of philosophy. I am interested in teaching in a way that creates interest and passion, encouraging minds to learn in order to broaden perspective, even starting with children at a very young age. I played a lot of sport when I was younger and represented my school in hockey, netball, athletics and football tournaments. I am a twin and one of six children and I have helped both younger and older siblings with understanding school homework, teaching them any areas where the approach taken in school didn't work for them.
