About Kendrick
My work is a vibrant exploration of Fauvism, where color takes center stage as both subject and emotional conduit. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting has equipped me with the skills to delve into non-observational art, focusing on the figure, portrait, and landscape while employing non-naturalistic hues.
Through bold brushstrokes and vivid colors, I aim to evoke emotional responses and invite viewers to engage in a personal dialogue with the artwork. By experimenting with composition and color dynamics, I challenge traditional academic norms and seek to create depth without relying on conventional shading techniques.
Each piece is an invitation for audiences to interpret and connect with the layers of hue and saturation, emphasizing the transformative power of color. My mission is to celebrate this emotional landscape, allowing the artwork to resonate and foster connections that transcend representation.
Through my art, I aspire to ignite curiosity and provoke thought, highlighting the profound impact that color can have on our perception and experience of the world.
