About Gemma
As my student you can feel confident knowing that you are learning with a qualified, dedicated, and professional educator. As a native Filipino speaker, a Licensed Professional Teacher, and a former Senior High School teacher in a public school in the Philippines, I have both the language knowledge and teaching experience to guide you effectively on your learning journey.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and completed 18 units in Education. I also successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in December 2023, with a specialization in Social Science.
As your tutor, I am committed to providing well-prepared, respectful, and personalized lessons based on your learning goals and level. I believe that every student learns differently, so I will create a supportive and comfortable environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow with confidence.

Learning Filipino can be an exciting and meaningful journey, and I would be honored to guide you along the way! As a native Filipino speaker and a licensed professional teacher, I can help you learn the Filipino language in a way that is clear, practical, engaging, and suited to your learning needs. I can also teach you other basic subject and other lesson related to social sciences/social studies.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Palawan State University and completed 18 units in Education at Fullbright College. In December 2023, I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers with a specialization in Social Science. I am also currently teaching Senior High School students at a public school in the Philippines, giving me valuable experience in creating meaningful and effective learning experiences.
As your Filipino tutor, I can help you improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while also introducing you to Filipino culture, traditions, and everyday expressions. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who wants to become more confident in speaking Filipino, I will patiently guide you at your own pace.
My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and personalized according to your learning goals and level. I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable and practical.
