I base my teaching around the individual, I will cater differently to everyone because everyone is different and they need different methods and processes in order to learn and succeed. I believe in helping everyone achieve what they want to achieve.
I have graduated with my business degree with a first class honors and I have recently completed my training to become a mathematics teacher in a secondary school. I begin my NQT year in September and I am willing to help others succeed in their subjects whether that is maths or business I am here for everyone!

Employment and Personal Development History
18/09/2017 – 13/03/2018 – Barista – Costa – Derriford Hospital
At Costa I mainly worked on the till as providing good customer service is a skill of mine, but I was also fully barista trained. Within this job role we have provided weekly targets to meet in this fast-paced environment due to this Costa being a franchise owned by Kernow Koffi.
19/04/2015 – 31/08/2017 Waitress & Bar Maid – Smugglers Den Inn, Cubert
My main role at Smugglers was within the dog and family friendly area, as I can engage well with children and can handle the pressure of controlling an area well, making sure that every table of customers was getting the best experience possible at this pub. Also, whilst working here I received bar and coffee machine training and following this I worked some bar shifts to put this training into practice.
01/11/2016 – 22/12/2016 – Customer Assistant – Marks and Spencer
I worked here as a Christmas temp whilst still at University in the Homeware and Children’s department. From working here, I received excellent customer assistant and till training which allowed me to assist any customer requirements. When supporting customer needs on the shop floor, this gave me the perfect opportunity to upsell further matching products to customers to make sure that when they left the store they were leaving fully satisfied.
28/07/2013 – 31/08/2016 – Retail Assistant & Waitress – Haven Holiday Park
I worked here for four summer seasons 2013-2016. In 2013 I worked in retail where I handled cash, communicated with customers and assisted with stock orders. In the other three seasons I worked as a waitress, and sometimes on the host stand, which involved directing customers to tables and controlling waiting lists/ bookings. These roles enabled me to develop my customer service skills and helped me realise that meeting new people is a strength of mine.
25/06/2014 – 28/04/2015 – Waitress – The Pheasant Inn
Whilst working here I was given many different roles and responsibilities, my main roles consisted of taking customer orders, running their food and drink and clearing away after, as well as assisting the chefs in plating up all dessert orders for customer too.
2012 – 2015 – Volunteering – Local Brownies and Rainbow Groups
I was volunteering at both groups as a leader once a week and participating in preparing activities for the girls to do. I had the responsibility of looking after the children always, creating a fun environment whilst always ensuring that the surrounding environment was safe too. I really enjoyed the commitment involved, with this volunteering, as well as working with the children and their families, as it was a highly rewarding experience.
06/2013 – 07/2013 – Work Experience – St Newlyn East Pre-School
I volunteered here a few mornings and afternoons each week whilst being on my year 11 study leave to get some more experience in working within a team environment. I mainly supported the childcare assistants over the more demanding snack times and lunch times and helped in the tidy up at the end of each day.
07/2013 – 08/2015 – Nanny and Babysitter
I worked as a nanny and babysitter for family friends three young children, mainly over the six-week holidays with the occasional evenings and some early mornings. This job empowered me as an individual to be able to handle high responsibilities well and influenced my ability of being able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
07/2012 – Work Experience – Ernst & Young London Head Quarters & St Clements Vets
My first work experience week in accountancy gave me a true insight to what it’s like to work within this industry, and this week is what has inspired my future career goal of doing something based around Mathematics. My second week consisted of increasing my confidence in talking to new clients and customers at the vets and supported my team working skills. It also supported my ability to work well as an individual and using my own initiative over the quieter parts of the day in finding things I could do to support the team, such as cleaning all surgical equipment and areas.
