About Molly
I achieved ten grade 9s at GCSE level, before going on to achieve 3A* at A-level (Biology, Maths, Psychology) and complete both my undergraduate degree and PGCE at the University of Cambridge!
A holistic approach to student development is really important to me - I feel students should play a key role in setting goals and considering what techniques work best for them. I also really value emotional safety, and feel it is important to develop a sense of trust in order to get the best out of my students.
I got into teaching after having quite a difficult experience of school myself - I struggled with anxiety and EBSA, and often missed periods of my education. I decided to train as a teacher to support students in similar situations to myself.

I am a qualified teacher with experience teaching all three sciences to GCSE and biology to A-level. I also have a first-class honours degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences from Cambridge, and experience tutoring A-level psychology. I have also previously supported students with Oxbridge applications and interview preparation.
I offer tutoring from KS3 to A-level (or GCSE for some subjects). I have particular experience supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs, and I often (in discussion with the tutee and parent) use a flexible mentoring and academic content approach to help the student fulfil their potential. I use my background in psychology to explicitly teach study skills, allowing you to be successful in your work outside of our sessions as well.

Molly has been really helpful with my university work! I was struggling to understand how to structure an essay, and she has helped me to practice essay structures that mean I am consistently getting first class marks! We have also had some really interesting and insightful discussions about the topics I'm learning about which has really helped me to think more broadly about my degree and what I might like to do in the future.
Molly has been great with my son - he was very disengaged from learning and completely lacking confidence. Since starting sessions, I have seen his confidence in his own abilities improve and this has also reflected in his grades.
