About Jean
I graduated with First-Class Honours in Law from the University of Cambridge in 2024. Since graduating, I have spent over two years tutoring university students and supporting university admissions.
I have also been helping friends and younger students with university applications since my own time at Cambridge. Beyond application preparation, I am always happy to chat more generally about studying Law, Cambridge, university life and whether Law is the right choice for you.
I offer a free 20–30 minute initial call so we can get to know each other, discuss what you are looking for and answer any initial questions before starting lessons. Feel free to reach out if you would like to chat or have any questions.

I applied for Law twice myself - I had little success the first time and got offered from Cambridge, UCL and Durham in the second try (I pulled out of LSE and KCL as I couldn't be bothered to wait once I received my Cambridge offer). I know the process inside out — including what works, what does not, and the common pitfalls applicants fall into.
For UCAS Law applications, I focus on detailed comments on your three personal statement answers: structure, persuasiveness, clarity, academic substance and how best to present your experiences. No two personal statements should look the same, and I can help you ensure that your personality shows in the application while being persuasive in its substance.
For the LNAT, I cover both multiple-choice technique and essay. The essay is an incredibly important piece (for Cambridge, Oxford and UCL) and my focus will be to illustrate how to think about various groups of topics such that you will possess the skill to adapt to the question.
For Oxbridge Law interviews, I offer realistic mock interviews followed by detailed feedback on your reasoning. A big part of Oxbridge law interviews is a problem-based discussion and I will go through some key concepts that you need to grasp.
