About Skye
My name is Skye and I am an Economics and Poltics graduate from the University of Liverpool. Currently I am a teaching assistant in a Secondary School within the Mathematics Department.
Teaching is something I love to do as it means I can give back to the community. Learning can be hard and stressful at times but having support of a good teacher behind you can make a world of a difference.

I have prior experience as an online GCSE and Primary School Maths Tutor. I helped a student achieve 94% on their GCSE maths exam from 43% in 4 months. A 119% mark increase in just one term.
My teaching methodology is akin to activity style learning. The student is always practicing throughout the lesson. I emphasise practicing in lessons as it ensures the student has a solid foundation of the concept, for which the more thought-provoking questions can be completed as homework.
Homework will always have elements of prior material. This allows students to get comfortable with applying learnt techniques with new topics. Every month there will be a test (which the topics covered) to monitor progress.
The typical length of a lesson is 90 minutes.
