I’m an experienced tutor specialising in Architecture portfolio development, creative thinking, and university application support. I enjoy teaching as Architecture is not just about presenting finished work, but learning how to think, observe, and communicate ideas clearly. I specialise in architecture portfolio development and university admissions, supporting students applying to leading schools in the UK and internationally, including UCL Bartlett, Cambridge, the AA and Bath. My teaching focuses on building strong, original portfolios and helping students communicate their ideas clearly and confidently.
With over 8000 hours of tuition experience, I work closely with each student to develop their thinking as well as their output. Sessions typically involve drawing, model-making, project development and portfolio structuring, alongside interview and personal statement preparation where needed.
I also support students at earlier stages, including GCSE and A Level Art and Design, helping them build the core skills required for architecture. This includes observational drawing, sketchbook development and more experimental work that feeds directly into a strong portfolio.
My approach is structured but flexible. I adapt each lesson to the student’s goals, whether that is building a portfolio from scratch, improving an existing project, or preparing for a specific school’s application process. I focus on clarity, process and consistent progress rather than quick fixes.
Alongside architecture, I tutor English and essay-based subjects, which often supports students in developing clearer written and verbal communication.
