About Vanaj
Hi, I’m a Computer Science graduate from the University of St Andrews, where I earned a First. I’ve spent time both in the academic world and working on real-world projects, and through all of that, I’ve learned how powerful and rewarding it is to really get how things work under the hood—whether it’s a simple algorithm or a full system. I tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping people make sense of Computer Science. I know it can feel confusing or intimidating at times, and I want to show that with the right guidance, it doesn’t have to be. Teaching gives me the chance to share what I’ve learned and help others build the same confidence and curiosity that’s driven me. It’s incredibly satisfying to see someone go from stuck to understanding—and to know I played a part in that.

I’m a Computer Science tutor with a First from the University of St Andrews, the UK’s top CS university. But more importantly, I care about helping students actually understand the subject—not just pass exams. My approach is patient, practical, and tailored to the individual. I’ve worked on real-world projects and in academic settings, so I know how to bridge the gap between theory and application. Whether you’re learning to code for the first time, struggling with data structures, or tackling your final-year project, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you through it with clarity and encouragement. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. Some students need to slow things down and build confidence step by step, while others want to push further and go deeper. Either way, I’ll adapt to your pace and goals. My aim is to make CS feel less overwhelming—and even enjoyable.
