About Oliver

I am a Law graduate, bar student and swimming teacher offering tutoring lessons for both Maths and Law. I gained a First for Law at undergraduate level and won many law related extra-curricular competitions, I am now studying my bar course to become a barrister at the most competitive institution offering the course.

About the lesson

My teaching method is always to break down components of a topic in practical and easy ways to understand. Many areas of law can be particular complex to understand so I like to use visual diagrams to illustrate concepts as it makes them easier to understand. With a degree level of understanding I can enhance A level work and make it stand out by providing insight into academic commentary and judicial quotes. I like to recognise what teaching methods and formats of communication the students learn best from and adapt the lessons around this. As much as possible it is important that the lessons are fun as I have found this makes the session more engaging and makes concepts more memorable to students. I identify what concepts students struggle with and spend more time on addressing these in different formats. I like to take topics slowly where needed and build on concepts learnt in previous lessons to ensure understanding is consolidated.
