About Sherman
I have recently retired from a long and successful career in education, as a teacher of mathematics, a senior leader and a headteacher. I am now enjoying spending more time with my family and friends and especially with my two grandchildren.
However I also have time now to devote to helping students on an individual basis to reach their own goals and ambitions.

I have spent my whole career teaching the subject I love and I am passionate about helping others enjoy mathematics as much as I do. I am extremely patient and my experience as both a teacher and an examiner enables me to understand where a student may encounter difficulties. I encourage my students to develop their skills and knowledge whilst also challenging them to reach their full potential. I offer clear and thorough explanations to any problem a student may encounter.
Primarily I strive to make my lessons enjoyable but always include the appropriate level of challenge.
I enjoy teaching all aspects of mathematics and further mathematics but especially Pure mathematics and mechanics. My work as an examiner for Edexcel A Level Paper 2 gives me an excellent insight into the expectations of the examination.
