About Kayda

I am a friendly, patient and creative individual with a genuine passion for education and helping children reach their full potential. I have always been fascinated by how children learn and develop, and I particularly enjoy finding different ways to make learning engaging, enjoyable and accessible.

Having worked with children for over six years, I have seen first-hand how much of a difference the right support and encouragement can make. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching a child's confidence grow, especially when they begin to understand something they previously found challenging.

My background in Psychology has strengthened my interest in understanding individual learning needs and the importance of adapting teaching approaches to suit each child. I believe every student has their own strengths, and sometimes all they need is someone who takes the time to understand how they learn best.

I want to tutor because I enjoy working closely with students, building positive relationships and helping them recognise their own abilities. For me, teaching is about more than academic achievement. It's about inspiring curiosity, encouraging independence and helping children develop a positive relationship with learning that stays with them beyond the classroom.

I believe that learning should be engaging, enjoyable and tailored to each individual. No two students learn in exactly the same way, which is why I take a personalised approach to every lesson, adapting my teaching style to suit each student's strengths, needs and learning goals.

With over ten years of experience supporting primary-aged children, including those with special educational needs, I understand the importance of patience, flexibility and positive encouragement. I have experience supporting children with autism, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, and a range of additional learning needs.

My goal is not simply to help students find the right answers, but to help them understand how to get there. I want every student to finish their lesson feeling more confident, capable and proud of what they have achieved.
