About Max
As a University of Warwick First-Class Engineering graduate, my background combines academic performance with real-world application. Having completed multiple industry internships and secured a graduate role, I understand how crucial mathematical problem-solving is for launching a successful STEM career.
Beyond subject mastery, I am passionate about helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world opportunities, showing them how mathematics can directly shape their future ambitions and career paths.

My aim is to make Maths and Further Maths understandable, engaging and enjoyable, while helping students build the confidence to tackle exam questions independently.
My Teaching Approach:
○ Conceptual understanding: I believe the best way to learn maths is to understand the reasoning behind each method, rather than just memorising formulas.
○ Structured Steps: I break down difficult topics into manageable steps.
○ Active Problem-Solving: I use worked examples to build initial understanding before moving on to exam-style questions.
○ Flexible Pacing: Lessons typically last one hour, but can be fully adapted to suit each student’s needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
○ University: First-Class Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick.
○ A-Levels: A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, alongside an A in Chemistry.
○ Tutoring Background: Experience tutoring GCSE students in person during my A-levels
