I can cater to a wide range of students, varying from KS2 to A Level.
The only people who can truly understand what students need are... other students. My goal is to treat students the way we all wish our teachers treated us, whilst still aiming to quickly and efficiently fill in knowledge gaps and advance through the curriculum.
The lessons will be student focused, featuring a plethora of approved teaching techniques such as visualisation, co-operative learning and differentiation, as well as alternating summative and formative assessments in order to track the student’s progress.
I wish to be a support system rather than a dictator. It is all about the individual student and what they need; I will always strive to adjust to their personal requirements, so that they can get the most out of their experience.
Whether you wish to excel or simply come to grips with these particular subjects, I am ready to do anything in my power to help you achieve your goals.
Academically exploring a subject can be daunting; we often hear the word “learning”, therefore it is surprising a lot of us do not understand how to do just that. Discovering a subject is not purely focusing on the content in itself, but on how to absorb it, understand it at a deeper level, and ultimately apply it in an exam.
Over the years I have watched and listened to my mother, a teacher, obsess over the importance of an interactive education which every child should have access to; I aim to offer exactly that to my students. A comfortable, safe environment where you can develop your academic skills in an engaging manner.
I have also provided guidance and assistance to my peers during my time in education, which has always proved successful; be that with how to structure your thoughts for a creative writing project or how to never doubt whether your essay is of a good standard ever again, I have helped individuals gain not only ability but also confidence, and I can do the same for you.
English and modern foreign languages are beautiful subjects, as is history; some people just need help diving into it. I am here to help you dip your toes in, but soon enough you will be swimming on your own!
Cancellation policy : free or charge, but please try to let me know at least 24 hours in advance.
Travel cost depends on the distance I will be travelling; £5 for anything over 12 miles.
