About Sophia
My name is Sophia, I am a first year International Politics and French (Advanced) student at the University of Bath. I am half German, half American and have lived in Germany, France and the UK for substantial periods of my life. Outside of academics I am a member of the Universities Chamber Choir and Orchestra and take great pride in playing the violin and singing. I am very fond of animals, especially my two dogs Filou and Eli. I have learned to love long walks throughout these times and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Hello, I am a first year International Politics and Advanced French Student at the University of Bath. I am looking for a summer job for the summer of 2022 teaching French, German, History or English to young students aged 4-12. I have a passion for teaching and have experience working with younger children from my experience teaching the violin to beginner students at a summer performing arts camp in New York. I would be more than happy to help around the house, play with the kids and take them out for some quiet time in the house or prepare meals for them. I would be able to work from June 15th onwards until around the mid of September.
My lessons would be around 60-90 minutes depending on the requirements of the kids and would include fun learning methods such as flash cards and activities to help familiarise our future linguists with their new language. Speaking in the required foreign language as well as pronunciation are vital for learning which I am very keen on teaching.
