About Aanya

I have experience providing one-to-one A-Level tutoring in Psychology and Sociology, supporting students with both subject knowledge and exam technique. Through personalised lesson plans, targeted revision, and regular essay feedback, I help students identify their weaknesses and turn them into strengths.

One student I tutored improved by two grades after receiving consistent support focused on mastering specification content, refining essay structure, and practising exam-style questions using examiner mark schemes. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching to each student's needs and deliver lessons that build confidence, improve performance, and achieve measurable results.

About the lesson

I am a committed and approachable A-Level tutor specialising in Psychology (Edexcel) and Sociology (AQA). Having achieved an A* in both subjects, I have a strong understanding of the specifications, what examiners are looking for, and the strategies that lead to top grades.

As a recent A-Level student, I understand the challenges students face and can explain complex psychological and sociological theories in a clear, engaging, and relatable way. My lessons are carefully tailored to each student's individual learning style, pace, and academic goals, ensuring they feel confident asking questions and tackling difficult topics.

Alongside building strong subject knowledge, I focus heavily on exam technique, essay writing, application of theories, and effective revision methods. I use past paper questions, mark schemes, and examiner expectations to help students maximise their marks and avoid common mistakes. Whether you're aiming to boost your predicted grades, prepare for mocks, or achieve an A/A* in your final exams, I provide structured, supportive, and results-driven tutoring to help you reach your full potential.
