My teaching method is approaching each topic with a mindset similar to that of an examiner. I don’t like covering only the key points needed in an exam, I also like to revise and add points/arguments/approaches into my essays that give my answers a unique edge that would appeal to examiners. I prefer teaching topics in a more holistic, synoptic and evaluative way, as the analysis of psychological and sociological studies/theories are often what limit students from getting the top grades. Content is not difficult to learn, however understanding good exam techniques is what I want to help my students with.
I am a first year Psychology student at the University of Warwick who has experience in tutoring GCSE students in many subjects, including Psychology, Sociology and Triple Science, and experience in tutoring A-Level students in Psychology, Sociology and Biology. I received an A in Psychology at GCSE and A-Level, and an A* in Sociology at A-Level. In my free time I like to paint/draw, read, play the guitar and self-study foreign languages.
