About Jenny
I adapt my teaching approach according to each student’s learning pace, needs, and personality. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust both the speed of the lessons and the teaching materials to make sure they feel comfortable and engaged. For example, I provide more structured guidance for students who prefer clear step-by-step learning, and more interactive, conversational practice for those who learn better through communication. My goal is to create a supportive environment where each student can progress confidently at their own pace.

My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and tailored specifically for beginners who want to improve their English and Mandarin Chinese. I focus on building confidence through simple explanations, step-by-step guidance, and plenty of speaking and listening practice using real-life situations. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and include review, introduction of new language, guided practice, and feedback to help reinforce learning. I have experience teaching secondary school students in Taiwan at a tutoring centre, which has helped me develop a patient and clear teaching style. My lessons are suitable for children and adults who are complete beginners and want to develop practical communication skills and improve gradually at a comfortable pace.
