  • 1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

    1. I first developed an interest in teaching students since I wanted to share my love of knowledge. When I was 15, I had the opportunity to become a teacher’s assistant in a ballet class for 3 and 4 year olds. I was thrilled to teach them and guide them as they learnt all about dance - my passion. From there, I became a teacher at 16 and got my very own class of 7 and 8 year olds to teach and guide. Ever since then, I have been very passionate about teaching others and watching them get better at their subject, whether that is dance, French, mathematics, or biology.
  • 2) What makes you passionate about your subject?

    2. Currently I am a French, mathematics, biology, and dance tutor. I am especially passionate about teaching dance, since I have been studying and training in dance for 19 years now. I am passionate about dancing because, like every other art, it teaches self expression and creativity. The unique thing about dance is that it is abstract, but defined, especially ballet. Due to its athletic nature, dance has also taught me resilience, respect, discipline, commitment, and dedication. Teaching dance to others reminds me again and again why I will always love it, and watching students succeed and grow inspires me everyday.
  • 3) What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

    3. What I like the most about tutoring and teaching is the joy of sharing knowledge and guiding minds. I love when I help students learn in a way that works for them and watching them beam with pride when they get things right. I am a Superprof because, not only am I dedicated to my students, but I encourage my students to be dedicated to themselves. That means, I encourage them, I teach them, and in return, they work hard to better themselves.
  • 4) Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

    4. A teacher that inspired me the most has been my mom. She is a strong and loving person who is also a teacher (grade 1). She taught me patience, kindness, and commitment in the though things. My mom has shown me, year after year, that with enough support and love, you can achieve a your goals.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

    5. My keys to success are: forgiveness of yourself and others, kindness, patience, discipline, resilience, and gratitude.
