• Plan and deliver French lessons, years 7-11, supporting the development of pupils’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and GCSE preparation
• Develop structured learning activities that reinforce vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and spontaneous communication.
• Use modelling, questioning, repetition practice and scaffolded tasks to support pupil progress.
• Encourage pupils to use French actively and confidently in classroom interactions.
• Develop pupils’ pronunciation, phonics and spoken-language confidence.
• Adapt activities to different levels of prior knowledge, attainment and confidence.
• Provide appropriate scaffolding for pupils requiring additional support while maintaining high expectations.
• Use extension activities to challenge more advanced learners.
• Establish positive classroom relationships and maintain clear expectations for learning.
• Incorporate digital and interactive resources to increase engagement.
