About Irah
I have vast experience working in the healthcare field for 17 years working with clients of different backgrounds and from marginalized groups, with a variety of life-altering medical conditions My Nursing Experience includes: - Recent job as an RN Nursing Instructor in a private college focused on leadership and management - Registered Nurse working in Public Health and as a Clinical Site Lead in charge of supervising other nurses - Forensic Nurse Examiner in Emergency - In Charge RN Nurse in Subacute Rehab + Long Term Care - Previously Licensed Practical Nurse + Team Leader for several years focused on client education in Community Health + helping manage a private health clinic - YWCA Mentor for HS students wanting to get into nursing field - I am certified as a Restorative Yoga Instructor - I have further training and specialty education certificates in Psychiatric Nursing of Children and Adolescents and in Forensic Nursing Science - I have further education + training in providing trauma-informed care for all clients - I am passionate in empowering future nurses by sharing my knowledge and providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based nursing practice needed to strengthen the future of the nursing profession

- I will create an individualized lesson plan that encourages an active discussion between you and me where you'll feel safe to ask questions for clarification
- I like using different teaching styles such as use of case scenarios, videos, discussions of how to understand questions with rationales + keywords to watch out for to assist you with exam taking strategies and effective study tips
- I will keep notes after each session and we can review this at the beginning of each session to help with your progress
- I will share any materials or extra resources I might find beneficial for your learning needs
- I'm passionate about mental health and I am a certified restorative yoga teacher. I can share with you mindfulness practices to decrease feelings of anxiety, burnt out and feeling of overwhelm. This can help you with test taking strategies, clinical rotations, job interviews, and build resilience as a student and once working in the nursing field
- I can assist you with prepping for nursing employment interviews + will share strategies to help you succeed
- I can assist you in editing nursing assignments, papers and resumes, cover letter
Important Note: As a Nursing Instructor myself I don't tolerate plagiarism therefore I will assist you, coach you and give you tips but I will not complete a student's assignments on their behalf.
However, if you hire me I will be there to guide you, coach you and support you to help you achieve your goal.

Irah was absolutely wonderful to learn from. While helping me study for my CPNRE, she also assisted me with tips to cope with my anxiety. She would take time out of her own schedule to prepare lessons and practice questions for me, and always made sure to check in to see how my overall well-being was. She was able to recognize whenever I was feeling nervous about something, and would pause and take a moment to talk about it. Between the studying and the breathing exercises we did together, I was able to use everything she has taught me while writing my exam. Thank you so much Irah!
