About Michele
I am a physicist by formation but I have researched and taught in Engineering for almost two decades. I started giving private lessons while still at university, helping students pass their "September resits" (as the system was at the time) in maths and physics. I have taught hundreds of students at 5 universities in two continents, both large classes and small groups. Equally at ease teaching GCSE material and first/second year university topics.

In my teaching I focus on understanding, as memory without understanding is unreliable, particularly under the stress of exams. To build confidence, I insist on plenty of exercises and practice problems. If you have already seen the material you want to learn, we'd start with figuring out what areas need deeper understanding. This will be a very interactive process, as I need to understand how to best help you. The following will depend on this first step, but typically I would explain the key aspects you may need most, continually checking your understanding. Practice will reinforce understanding and learning.
