About Jeremiah
Hello, I am Jeremiah, I am a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in biology and German. I have two years of tutoring and instructional experience, gained from being passionate about helping students succeed in science and the languages. My approach as a tutor is student-centered, adaptable, and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I break down complex biological concepts into manageable ideas, using active recall, practice questions, diagrams, and real-world examples to reinforce learning. I encourage students to think critically rather than memorize information passively.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying areas of difficulty. From there, we work through concepts step-by-step, apply them through practice problems or discussion, and end with a short recap and study strategies for independent review.
What sets me apart is my combination of tutoring and instructional experience alongside my background as a fourth-year German student. I understand the challenges students face because I have worked through advanced German coursework myself, and I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
My lessons are suited for high school and undergraduate students studying German studies and language.
