About Helen
I have graduated from a BA (Hons) Illustration within the last 2 years, and have been freelancing as an Illustrator for the past 9 years.
I have a graphic design background prior to undertaking my Illustration degree, and as such I have undertaken design work from logos to storybook illustration.
Children's illustration is my specialism, using traditional media mixed with digital media to create my artwork.

I am an enthusiastic traditionalist when it comes to my illustration, although I do have utmost respect for the digital age, and the necessity to use technology to enhance and promote art.
My methodology is extremely practical and visual, as I find this is can be much more engaging. Tutorials can help students to understand choices made within design, and appreciate the different specialisms within the industry.
