About Leyla
I am a 4th year French and Classics (MA Hons) student at The University of Edinburgh who has recently completed her study abroad programme at Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV). Having achieved a first in both my 2nd and 3rd year, I am on track for the same mark in my final degree classification.
I love languages and sharing this passion with others. I self-taught myself A-level Latin and Classical Civilisations, and for this reason became well acquainted with the exam boards and expectations. Furthermore, I've had experiencing in offering learning support and proof-reading documents, making me keen to continue tutoring.
I have GCSE's and A-levels in French, Latin and Classical Civilisations which I have continued to study at university level. I have also previously supported students in English and Computer science.

I am happy to tailor lessons to the needs of the student and believe in an interactive and engaging approach, especially when teaching a foreign language. As a university student I am still familiar with the GCSE, A-level and undergraduate systems which helps my students achieve their best in these exams.
My personal interest is in analysing Latin literature, and I was offered my first paper publication while an undergraduate. My comprehension and analytical skills make me confident in teaching literature in all my known languages.
My lessons will focus not only on academic knowledge, but also tips and skills to help students to stay on track independently and flourish during exam seasons. If you have a particular skill you'd like to develop, just let me know!
