I would start off teaching the basics if necessary and quickly revise the essentials. I would focus on the four main areas of learning a language; speaking, listening, reading and writing. I would do this through resources such as worksheets and fun activities such as games or quizzes.
As a languages student, I understand how scary learning a new language can be. As a result, I would be encouraging and make the student feel as comfortable as possible in speaking in a foreign language.
I am a French and Spanish student in my second year at King's College London. I studied French, Spanish and History at A level and received A*s in all three subjects in addition to 11 A*s and 1 A at GCSE. I am happy to tutor for GCSE and A level students on both language skills and exam technique.
Additionally, as a native English speaker, I can offer conversational classes to practice speaking with a native English speaker. Last summer, I volunteered at an English immersion camp in Spain where I helped children from age 4 to 12 practice their English skills.
In my free time I love to play hockey and sail. I have been a sailing instructor for the past 6 years and regularly teach children from age 7 to 16 how to sail. I make the day enjoyable and interesting whilst making sure they learn all the important information.
