About Sophie
I'm a 26 year old Psychology graduate. I grew up in sunny southern France, and although I have moved back to the UK, I have retained my love of the French language and culture. It's a massive part of my job, as I spend my working days preparing GCSE students for their French exams. In addition to that, I would love to be able to tutor in my spare time, as I find one-to-one teaching with serious students to be so rewarding and enjoyable.

Happy to teach all ages, at all levels! We can focus on grammar and conjugation, or on conversation - depends on your level and goals. Lessons can last from 30-60 minutes. I'm perfectly flexible in that regard, so let me know your preference and availability. I was lucky enough to move to the south of France when I was just 8 years old. It only took 4 months of being immersed in the French language for me to become perfectly fluent (accent and all!). At the age of 16, I began tutoring British members of my village, helping them to improve their French conversational skills whilst studying for the French Baccalaureate and then my Psychology degree. Since graduating, I have been teaching French in a secondary school at GCSE level for the last 3 years.
