I am a Swiss French-speaking native qualified primary school teacher (qualified to teach 7 – 16 years old children) offering French/German/Italian and English as a Foreign Language lessons face to face or online via Skype to individuals as well as to small groups of private people or companies.
I am passionate about teaching languages, patient and love teaching grammar as well as conversation and all activities relating to teaching languages. Most of my experience is with beginners up to Pre-University students either privately or to groups or companies.
Lessons are tailor-made according to the requirements of students and according to the way they best learn. For instance one approach is following a course with CDs so that students have the opportunity to do a great amount of independent learning with those to progress as fast as they would like. More advanced students like to practice their conversation skills, some require preparation for exams with mocks ie GCSE, AS & A levels + Pre-University. I tutored Eton College and Canford School students for those exams.
I have been teaching French for 40 years. A great number of students over those years as a result have passed GCSE, AS level, A level and Pre-University exams as well as Ministry of Defence Standard Language Proficiency level 1 + International Cambridge A level French as detailed below:
Taught primary school classes (full curriculum) between 1977 and 1984 in Vevey/Montreux (French part of Switzerland).
Taught French to British Airways staff near Heathrow (1985)
Interpreted English - French for GCE Medical in Slough. (1993)
Tutored privately, in schools and in-company for 34 years.
Translated a Sports & Language Company’s website from French to English.
Taught GCSE & AS French at Oakmead & LeAF Academy Schools in Bournemouth.
Taught French for the Ministry of Defence ((Military & General French up to International Cambridge A-level to Royal Marines + Army of all rankings).

I am writing this letter to give my dearest thank you to Mrs. Viviane Bhagwanani, a teacher of both of my children in the languages area; specifically, French and German.
It has been such a pleasure to have Viviane as a tutor, she has made a major positive difference in my children’s ability to speak and write in both German and French, and they are both now excelling in both subjects. Our lessons started off as once per week, and upgraded to twice per week. In addition to that, these lessons were very well structured and helped develop my children’s weak and strong aspects so that they reached their full potential in both languages. Not one minor detail was missed out and I am so very happy to have
found such a caring and wonderful tutor for my children. From the start, Viviane always found a way to describe any word or rule to my kids; even when they didn’t know English very well!
I am very proud of what my children have achieved and I am upset that we have to leave such a great teacher.
It has been a pleasure and I wish Viviane, whom I would recommend as a teacher in a heartbeat, the best of luck in her future.
