About Poppy
My background after leaving university was in French property and telecommunications. Work always involved languages, and when I retrained to be a primary school teacher, I also trained to teach French at senior level. Many people visit France, our closest neighbour, and a smattering, or more, of the language can be very useful. I greatly enjoy assisting people with learning or improving their French, and it is most rewarding watching students overcome spoken or written difficulties to become more confident and at ease with the language. Foreign languages interest me, and I speak French, German, basic Italian and appalling Russian.
