About Saira
I began studying French in middle school and I quickly developed a passion for the language. After continuing on through high school, I went on to major in French and eventually complete my PhD in the language. I've studied French literature, history, and culture and I am super passionate about sharing my interests with my students. Besides my teaching and academic experience, I love to travel and have lived abroad in France on several occasions.

I teach personalized French classes based on my student's needs. I've taught at the university, high school, and middle school levels and I recognize that each of my students comes from a unique background. I try my best to meet students where they are and focus on their interests while sharing my own passion for the French language and Francophone cultures. I strive to incorporate a variety of activities focused on reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I believe it is important to use authentic resources in my teaching and I love sharing my own experiences and stories, whether they be from my own time learning the language or from spending time in Francophone countries.
