About Cassandra

With 5 years of experience teaching French, I specialise in helping school and college students build strong language foundations through engaging, well-structured lessons. My teaching style is interactive, patient, and adapted to each learner’s needs. I use innovative techniques like themed conversations, real-life situational dialogues, multimedia learning, and vocabulary mapping to keep lessons dynamic and practical. I emphasise four core skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—while helping students understand grammar in a simplified, student-friendly way. I encourage consistent practice, cultural exploration, and open communication to boost confidence and retention.

My classes often include short video clips, quizzes, listening tasks, and conversational prompts inspired by authentic French scenarios. Over the 5 years, I’ve helped students improve grades, gain fluency, and build a strong appreciation for the French culture. My goal is to make French accessible and enjoyable, ensuring each student progresses at a comfortable pace while feeling supported and inspired.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching French is guided by Accountability, Integrity, Flexibility, Communication, and Positivity. I help students take responsibility for their learning by setting clear, personalised goals and monitoring progress through structured lessons and regular exercises. This ensures consistent improvement and motivates students to stay engaged. Integrity is reflected in every aspect of my teaching. I provide transparent lesson plans, honest feedback, and clear expectations, so learners understand the purpose of each activity and their path to success. Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to each student’s learning style, whether they thrive with grammar drills, conversational practice, or immersive reading and writing exercises.

Communication is central to language mastery. I design lessons with interactive speaking sessions, listening comprehension exercises, real-life scenarios, and role-playing activities that mirror authentic French use. Positivity creates a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident exploring new vocabulary, experimenting with sentence structures, and embracing challenges. In addition to French, I teach complementary subjects such as literature basics, cultural studies, reading comprehension, and writing skills. My methodology not only enhances academic performance but also equips students with practical skills to communicate effectively and confidently in real-world situations.
