I use PowerPoint everyday to introduce a mini lesson plan of my objective(s) of the day. The activities that align with the lesson plans are outlined as well as an oral or written form of assessment of the lesson taught. One example of an oral informal assessment of students is an Exit Ticket. Formal assessments are done via the usage of online academic websites such as Mango, Quizlet, Duolingo, Quizlet, 1jour1actu, etc. Some of my activities are based on the textbook and others on small novels that I introduced to students based on their level. Each novel is accompanied with a created written activities, skits, games and videos to help students with the interpersonal, presentational and Interpretive communication. I also use similar online activities for movies and songs. After we are done with a Novel students are allowed to practice for Role Plays in pair or groups. The goal is always to achieve academic literacy in reading, writing, listening and speaking. I do adjust my lesson plans to give a voice to students by also incorporating what they want to learn.
