About Dean
My passion for the French language began with an appreciation for its expressive sound and cultural richness. This led me to pursue a B.A. in French Linguistic Studies and later an M.A. in Global Language Pedagogy, where I developed a deeper understanding of language acquisition and effective, learner-centered teaching. For the past 9 years, I’ve worked with students from many backgrounds, helping them build strong communication skills through patient, structured, and encouraging instruction. I teach with warmth, clarity, and a focus on understanding each student’s personal learning style. My approach blends conversation practice, grammar clarity, reading guidance, and cultural exploration so students feel both supported and intellectually engaged. I believe that learning a language should feel positive and accessible, and I adjust explanations to ensure students feel confident rather than overwhelmed. Outside the classroom, I stay active in exploring French literature, contemporary media, and linguistic research, which allows me to bring fresh insights into my lessons. Teaching French is incredibly meaningful to me because it allows me to watch learners discover new ways of thinking, new forms of expression, and new confidence in themselves.

Every session includes calm correction, patient guidance, and structured exercises designed to support consistent, positive progress.
My French lessons help students develop not only linguistic skill but also independence and cultural curiosity. As learners grow more comfortable communicating, they often discover a stronger sense of connection to the language and confidence in their abilities.
