About Leina
French Tutor Bio
Bonjour ou Bonsoir! I’m a native French speaker and I grew up in Paris not too far from the Eiffel Tower.
I attended Lycée Louis-le-Grand, where I fine-tuned my love of the French language, in the same halls that hosted many well-known French writers, philosophers, and intellectuals such as Victor Hugo, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Simone de Beauvoir.
I came to the United States to attend training at UC Berkeley and MIT, where I focused on educational technology and personalized learning.
This led me to develop my own cognitive assessment and learning tools, which have been used by more than 20,000 people across 58 countries, and I have used them to teach myself three additional languages!
In 2024, my research in personalized learning was recognized as being of National Interest by the USA.
I strongly believe that learning is not one-size-fits-all. Every student has different strengths, motivations, and ways of processing information, so I adapt the learning journey to each student’s cognitive profile, interests, and goals.
All of my students receive a complimentary cognitive profile assessment, which can also be useful beyond language learning and applied to many other areas of learning and personal development.

I focus strongly on your ability to hold and sustain a conversation naturally and confidently. As a native French-speaker and Parisian, I will teach you the way French people actually speak!
Beyond grammar and vocabulary, we will work on fluidity, responsiveness, pronunciation, and the ability to express ideas clearly in real-life situations.
In addition to one-on-one tutoring sessions, you will also benefit from a dedicated practice app designed to accelerate memorization and long-term retention. After every class, I will update the app with personalized pre-made flashcards based on the material we covered, allowing you to review efficiently between sessions and reinforce your progress consistently.
