I'm a patient and cheerful teacher. Speaking a foreign language is an adventure and can be intimidating, but I want my students to overcome their fears of 'doing it wrong', 'mispronuncing' or 'being ridiculous'. That's why I do everything I can to make people feel comfortable and proud of their achievements. I do not have one teaching methodology as I adapt my lessons to my students who can be from different ages, have different levels and different goals.
Bonjour, je m'appelle Ophélie!
I have a MA in literature and linguistics, and I am now doing a PhD in French studies/linguistics at Nottingham Trent University, as I plan to teach languages at university in the future.
I worked as a French language assistant in a secondary school and a college in Leicester therefore if you need help with French GCSE/A level I'm the teacher you're looking for!
I've also taught English as a foreign language in a primary school in France and gave French lessons at De Montfort University, Leicester. Finally I've worked with students who were preparing for the DELF exam (and they succeeded!).
All my students have different goals and backgrounds therefore I always adapt my teaching methods to your needs and personality, you tell me during our first free hour what you expect from our lessons and I prepare something just for you.
Therefore, whether you need help in French for GCSE, A level, university, for your job, because you want to learn a new language, travel, or improve your French for any reason : contact me, I'll be happy to offer my help!
