I have helped high school students for more than 16 years with grammar, speaking, writing, and organizational skills. I have a background in modern languages which I studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, and graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in psychology.

I build a friendly, low-key rapport with my students, adjusting my technique to their personal needs. At the beginning of each session, we focus on the areas that present difficulties. We also analyze and practice ahead of time the skills that will be taught in class. I help understand new material by breaking down information and connecting it to what they already know, and explain the need to learn actively, stressing the necessity to practice and repeat newly learned skills.
