About Sonia
I am currently in my second year at Durham University, studying French and Russian. I have been tutoring for two years and have taught on a voluntary basis for 5 years now. I've got a D1 and D2 in French and Spanish Pre-U (A level) respectively. I have a C1 certificate in Spanish and B2 in German. I am passionate about language learning and literatures and would love to help new students in any way I can. I have also studied AS level Latin and am enthusiastic to teach the Latin language as well.

Spanish
I teach French and Spanish to level of GCSE or A level. I prioritise conversational practice and grammar. I think a solid understanding of grammar and culture are important in the study of a language, rather than simply memorising vocabulary. I like to cater my lessons to the individual needs of my students, and I would work out problem areas to make sure my student is getting the help he or she needs in the right areas. Most importantly, I view learning as fun and want to share with you the exciting journey of learning a new language!
