About Sarah
I am from New Zealand and taught at home there for four years. I've been in the UK 3 months so am wanting to start share my love for the instrument in my new home. I had 10 students that stayed with me the whole four years, the others came and went. I prefer teaching children because I love kids and we have the most fun together. I am a friendly and relaxed teacher, the students should be having fun first, because who wants to learn something they don't enjoy? I use the string builder series of books as they are what I used to learn with too.

Details
In my experience I've found that children don't last much longer than 20 mins. For students under the age of 10 I would offer 20 min lessons and for students over 10 then 30 mins is fine, but for the first 6 months (depending how how fast they progress) then all lessons will be 20mins. It saves muscles getting sore and overused and keeps interest fresh, in my experience.
