About Isobel
Hi! I’m Isobel and I have a genuine passion for English, I am currently training to be an English teacher in a secondary school and already work in a secondary school setting. I have chosen to tutor alongside my training because I know how much of a difference having someone explain things clearly, patiently and in a way that suits you can make. I’d love to use my knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject to help students improve their skills, build their confidence and achieve grades they can be proud of.

My approach is friendly, patient and tailored to each student. I believe everyone learns differently so I start by identifying a student's strengths and weaknesses and build lessons based around topics that may need some improvement.
Whether you’re looking to improve your confidence, understand difficult topics or work towards a higher GCSE grade, I’ll make sure lessons are supportive, engaging and easy to understand, no question is a silly question! My aim is not just to help you pass, but to help you feel genuinely confident in English.
I can help with both GCSE English Language and Literature, including essay writing, analysing texts, poems, understanding exam questions, improving written expression and developing effective exam techniques. I’ll break down challenging topics into clear, manageable steps and use plenty of GCSE-style practice to help students apply what they’ve learned.
