About Will
Hi! I'm a musician, songwriter and performer with 6 years of experience playing live, performing in my own band, and writing and releasing original music.
My musical background spans indie, pop, rock, blues and folk, and alongside guitar, I also play bass guitar. I love how much bass contributes to a song, from locking in with the drums to creating memorable basslines that give a track its character.
I'm a self-taught musician, so I understand the value of learning by playing music you genuinely enjoy, experimenting, and finding your own way of doing things. My approach is relaxed, friendly and encouraging, and I want to help others discover the enjoyment and confidence that comes with learning an instrument.
Songwriting is also my day job, so music is a big part of my life creatively and professionally. Whether you're just starting out on bass or want to build your confidence playing along to your favourite songs, I'd love to help you develop your skills and enjoy making music.

My bass guitar lessons are relaxed, friendly and focused on helping you learn through the music you love. I believe one of the best ways to stay motivated when learning an instrument is to play songs that genuinely excite you, rather than getting caught up in rigid structures or exam-based learning.
We'll work at your pace and focus on building practical skills, whether you're picking up a bass for the first time or looking to become more comfortable playing along with your favourite tracks. This could include learning basslines, getting to grips with rhythm and timing, understanding how bass fits into a song, and developing the confidence to play alongside other musicians.
My own experience comes from learning music hands-on, playing with a band and exploring a range of styles, particularly indie, pop, rock, blues and folk. I want to bring that practical, music-first approach into lessons and help you understand how bass works in the context of real songs.
As a songwriter, I can also share insights into how basslines work with chords, melodies and arrangements to help bring a song together.
Lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediates looking to develop their basic skills. The aim is to make learning enjoyable, build your confidence and help you play music you're excited about.

Great teacher! Helped me pick up the guitar again after years of neglecting it, would recommend to anyone who wants to learn quickly and enjoy playing again!
Will is a patient and fun teacher, I booked on to a lesson with him wanting to learn my favourite Oasis song, and within the first two lessons I can play along to the whole thing!
