About Katherine
I was able to deliver dynamic lessons to children of many ages and abilities, in various group sizes. There was a clear improvement in their English ability by the end of the year and my lessons kept them interested and engaged.
I also tutored English informally to adults in France, focusing mainly on speaking practise. The results of these lessons were a huge improvement in confidence and English speaking ability.

Having studied English at University, I have a real passion and love of English language and literature. I have one year experience teaching English in a French secondary school where I was required to teach students from 11-18 years old, both in classes and more focused, one on one support.
I also studied French at University so have an awareness of the difficulties facing a language learner and strategies on how to deal with these.
I believe oral practice is central to learning a language therefore encourage speaking practice as much as possible but will adapt my lessons according to the needs of the client.
As somebody who has lived abroad, having to learn the language and integrate into the culture I can offer clients a good experience and friendliness.
